I think I figured it out. I’ve become one of those writers I dreaded becoming! A by-hand author *shocked gasps*… and the main problems with that are a) I lose pieces of paper and books that I write in. Anyone that knows me knows I write in pretty much everything and anything. And b) Retyping pains me.

So anyway, that’s my excuse.

Having said that… guess what day it is tomorrow… Friday! And guess what’s happening tomorrow? The long-awaited ~update~!

Hopefully for both stories…

It’s going to be a great learning experience for everyone (including me) and I think it will be fantastic.

In fact, it’ll be so amazing all MacRobbians should come. If I haven’t already won you over… I’ve created a Facebook group, therefore you should join. (Both the group and the club.)

A very good question.

A few things: a box of nurofen… the number of panadol is dwindling and I have a half full (see, I’m an optimist) glass of water beside me. But these things are irrelevant to your happiness and therefore my continued survival.

I’ve finished Part 11 of Runner. And I will stick it up. It’s not momentous like I’m accidentally portraying it as but it is somewhat of an achievement. Oh yeah, and I’ve also managed to survive four weeks of VCE. Haha! Success is mine. (私のかち!)

For reasons completely, truly and utterly past my control my pages don’t stack up after 9… so basically, part 10 and 11 of Runner (and every future update of Runner) will be under part 9 until that no longer works either… then I’ll continue to improvise so they’re at least in some sort of logical order…

Continuing on with the theme of search engines, Google and Yahoo are at war. Those of you who regularly find yourself on MLIA will know this. According to Yahoo, “Google is going down” and Google  claims to be taking over the world. It’s nice to know there is some healthy competition between our most used search engines.

That’s pretty much all I have to report at this state; well, aside from the fact I’m about… half way through “Runner: Part 11″ and it is actually working now, so provided I don’t get limited expressed all the way back to Chelt. station again tomorrow afternoon I might finish it. Oh wait, debating related activities after school? Quite possibly…

So alas, I currently have very little to give you, aside from a few half-baked ideas, a few witty lines and a bottle of vodka. Scratch zat, zere is no viddle varder. (Vodka means ‘little water’.)–Huh, so it turns out I have a few facts I could dish out too.

So, while many of you threatened to shake fists and yell I’m afraid I can’t update.

Not so much afraid as frustrated.

See, it’s not like I haven’t been writing. It’s more like, I’ve been attempting to write really long stories. So I can’t really show them to you… because I don’t usually write in a straight line. And you must have read/dreamed up the whole story to understand.

But, I refuse to leave you empty-handed.

So, I pose a riddle to you.

If you’ve got it you can’t share it, but if you’ve shared it you haven’t got it.

If you know where that comes from I applaud you.

Runner part 9 and 10. I can guarantee that part 9 will be confusing but part 10 will clear it up (hence my releasing one with the other.)

NaNoWriMo officically came to a close twenty one minutes ago according to my computer clock and I am overjoyed to announce, I did it. I won. I wrote fifty thousand words in a month. It was hard and I’m pretty sure you don’t want to read what I came up with in the end but I did it.

So, with NaNo pulling to a close, and school in the process (a very slow process might I add) of closing for the year I am faced with three challenges.

1) Write those emails I’ve been wanting to write the last few days but because of reasons beyond my control *cough* SCUBA diving and NaNoWriMo *cough* I have been unable to.

2) Do my bucket loads of holiday homework.

And then there’s this one (I think you may or may not find this one mildly satisfying)…

3)Finish those stories I left hanging in October. Yeah, sorry about that. So, hopefully, from this Friday onwards I will be updating again. Most likely starting with Runner, I’ve got a half baked idea forming in my head. Bear with me though, I’m a little bit sleep deprived and my brain is a little bit mushy.

Oh and something else I just thought of–Mac.Rob people (if any Mac.Rob person is reading this) what do you think of the idea of a Writing Guild/Club at our school? I’m happy to explain more specifically what we’d do so email me on danaharding@live.com.au if you want to know more but basically it would be one lunchtime every two weeks or so and we just write short stories, focus on certain aspects, have different sorts of writing tasks (e.g. write a story based on a song title or pair up and write a two page story etc…) I’ll set up a poll to hear your ideas (bear with me on the poll thing, I’m a little lost when it comes to them…) Otherwise if you’d like to add something, there is a little comment button at the top of this post ^_^

NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writer’s Month (but it’s actually something that is now international) and that goes from the 1st of Nov-30th of Nov so until the 1st of December updates will be sporadic, if existent.
